2nd international BNS Workshop & Symposium Bremen Nov.06

From the 29th to 30th of November 2006 the 2nd International BORDA Basic Needs Services (BNS) Workshop & Symposium titled "Business Unusual" was held in Bremen.

“Business Unusual” presented a platform for experts to meet and compile recommendations to up-scale BNS provision in Africa and Asia. The discussions focused on identifying the key principles of existing success stories and developing strategies for overcoming "bottle necks" and limiting factors for mass dissemination of BNS.

The following sections compile the

  • main statements and presentations of key workshop participants from India, Indonesia, South Africa & Europe,
  • main statements and presentations of the symposium speakers and
  • final conclusions and recommendations of the group discussions.
