Posted by gressiadi on 2008/7/18 18:40:00 (189 reads)

The voluntary ecological year (FÖJ), offered by the Federal state of Bremen, in cooperation with BORDA, gave me a chance to go and work in the NGO sector in Indonesia. This has been a completely new experience for me because I had just finished high school and had only ever spent about three weeks in some other foreign countries.
After living and working here for the last four months I can honestly say that it has been a very positive experience. I have had the chance to work with an organisation that strives to raise the living standards for people in four regions of the world: South Asia, South East Asia, China and Southern Africa.
